- Trauma Junkie: Memoris of an Emergency Flight Nurse - Janice Hudson
- Chicken Soup for the Nurse’s Soul - various stories to and about those in the nursing profession
- Taber’s Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary - despite it’s long name this is an excellent reference. I used it through out med-surg and other rotations. Most of my case study material came from here.
- NANDA nursing diagnoses: definitions and classifications -this is THE offical NANDA reference. Published by NANDA themselves. Nursing professors cannot argue with this book.
- Nursing Made Insanely Easy -Sylvia Rayfield, Loretto Manning (My nursing school pays for these ladies to do a seminar for the students every year to review for NCLEX. This book is full of memorable pictures to help you learn.)
