Herpes simplex type I has a greater affinity for the nerve tracts surounding the mouth and type II has a greater affinity for the nerve tract around the genital region. Both can in habit either region but the excerbation of outbreaks is greater when the type is in the region it has a greater affinity for.

number 2 is d answer. Herpes Simplex Infection Type 1 is also known as cold sores or fever blister. It is often associated with lip and oral lesions. Type 2 is associated with genital lesions and is sexually transmitted.
