This is an ATTEMPT to answer. I GUESS hyperkalemia and hypercalcemia. I would think to watch for any complications, would be advised. But of these, HYPER or HYPO glycemia would be less likely to occur if the pancreas/insulin production is functioning properly. Through the process of elimination, I would GUESS #4. I look forward to the proper rational on this.

Correct answer: 2
Metabolic complications from administration of TPN include hyperglycemia, hypoglycemia, hypocalcemia, hypokalemia, hypomagnesemia, hyponatremia, and hypophosphatemia. Hyperglycemia is the most common complications of TPN. ypoglycemia can occur when TPN is suddenly withdrawn. Electrolyte deficiencies can occur. The addition of electrolytes is individualized based on the client’s metabolism and on the underlying condition.
